Film “Plurality” Premiered in Taichung, Car Chase Scene Received Glowing Reviews
The film, “Plurality”, directed by Golden Bell Awards director Aozaru Shiao, features many of Taichung’s famous scenic spots such as Taichung Central Park and Gaomei Wetlands. There was even an exciting car chase scene, which was shot with the full support of the Taichung City Government’s Information Bureau and the Taichung Film Development Foundation. The premiere was held yesterday (25th) at Taichung’s Shin Kong Cinemas, where director Aozaru Shiao thanked the city government for its full support of the filming, while the Information Bureau also thanked the crew for coming to Taichung for filming and marketing the beauty of Taichung through film and television.
“Plurality” has held a number of screenings already, which have attracted many fans to try to be the first to view the film. The premiere screening of “Plurality” was held yesterday at Taichung’s Shin Kong Cinemas, where director Aozaru Shiao, producer Lin Bing-Yu, and actor Frederick Lee made a surprise appearance to share with the audience about the good times and bad times of filming in Taichung. Chen Yu, Chief Secretary of Taichung City’s Information Bureau, also attended the event to show support in person.
The Information Bureau pointed out that the theme of “Plurality” is quite innovative. To trace the whereabouts of the missing children, the police used technology that can upload people’s consciousness to bring the dead passengers back to life. The lead actor Tony Yang and the lead actress Sandrine Pinna showcased their formidable talents in their search of the real killer in the complex space of the consciousness. The sci-fi thriller plot combined with a strong cast received positive reviews at the screenings.
The Information Bureau thanked the crew for coming to Taichung for filming. The Information Bureau and the Taichung Film Development Foundation will continue to promote film shoot location subsidies, accommodation subsidies, and film venue subsidies to attract more local and overseas film production companies to come to Taichung for filming and in turn market the city’s tourism.
Director Aozaru Shiao said that everyone is invited to go to the theater to experience the stunning effects of “Plurality” in person. Many of Taichung’s scenic spots are shown in the movie, including the Taichung Central Park and Gaomei Wetlands. He also thanked the Information Bureau for their warm support. Actor Frederick Lee shared his experience of the shooting process. He said that the team specially chose the Taichung Central Park to shoot the exhilarating car chase scene, where five primary cameras were deployed to shoot at the same time, successfully creating a sense of thrilling excitement, which fans should not miss.
The Information Bureau pointed out that “Plurality” describes a bizarre accidental car explosion, involving a horrific case of children going missing in succession. Tony Yang and Sandrine Pinna are the male and female lead of the star-studded cast, which includes Frederick Lee, Chen Yi-Wen, Gingle Wang, J.C.
