  • Address: No. 65, Sec. 1, Shuangshi Rd., North Dist., Taichung City 404009, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

A century-old park with lake and greenery

In addition to the lakes, bridges, and green lawn, Taichung Park, built in 1903, is also rich in historical heritage. The “Lake Pavilion”, a designated city monument, was built for Prince Kan’in Kotohito of the Japanese Imperial Family who came to Taiwan to celebrate the opening of the railway’s Western Trunk line. There is also the “Moon Pavilion” and the only remaining Chinese-style watchtower in Taiwan, which are relics of the capital city during the Qing Dynasty.

Scenes from the movie “Your Name Engraved Herein” were also shot here.
