Dadu Great Wall Hiking Trail

Climb the Great Wall and enjoy the panoramic view of Dadu Township

The Great Wall Hiking Trail is located in the protection forest on the southwest side of the Mt. Dadu terrace. It is named the Great Wall because the trail winds like the Great Wall of China.

There are two entrances to the trails, one at the Taichung Motor Vehicles Office and the other at Xin Xing Village. The trail’s total length is 2.7 kilometers.

The first high point is about 300 meters above sea level, the second high point is 335 meters above sea level, and the final point is at the Taichung Motor Vehicles Office, where visitors can see the panoramic view of Dadu Township. The Great Wall Hiking Trail is connected to the Mt. Dadu trail system. The stone steps of the trail and the banyan and acacia trees that line the trail form a long, shady path that is suitable for period films and mountain scenes.
