Stunning beach in Taichung
Songbo Harbor was originally called “Chuantoupu”. But due to the lush pine and cypress forests on either sides of the Da’an River, so it was also called “Songbo Harbor” (“Songbo” meaning pine and cypress).
Songbo Harbor is the only surfing spot in Central Taiwan. The flat sandy terrain and large shallow beach are perfect for water activities, and there are also many windmills for generating electricity in the vicinity. The sea and the sky form a beautiful photo backdrop, while the calm waters and mild weather has already attracted the film crew of “Who’s By Your Side”.
