** Historical memory of the old Ninan Police Station and Dajia County**

In 1920, the Governor's Office implemented a system of local self-government, and Dajia was originally to be included in the "Shimizu County", and the county office was located in Shimizu, causing a local backlash. Eventually, although it was renamed "Dajia County", the county office remained in Shimizu, and it became a compromise arrangement of "the name belongs to Dajia and the actual name belongs to Shimizu". In order to maintain the administrative status of Dajia, Zhuang Chang Zhu Li fought to set up the "Dajia Branch", which was the only police branch office in Taichung Prefecture at that time, with jurisdiction over six police stations, so that Dajia could maintain basic law and order and administrative energy. Today, most of the buildings have disappeared, and only the old Ninan Police Station, built in 1924, remains. It is in the form of a "office and dormitory", with the typical stone-washing, cut-corner roof and wooden dormitory of the Riji police station, and it is the only historical building that can witness the evolution of this period of Dajia, Qingshui political competition and local system, and its cultural value cannot be ignored.
