The Qingshui Gang Holy Church located in Daya District, Taichung City, was built in 1963 originally to serve the believers of the Qingshui Gang Military District. It was jointly established by the Swedish mission and Japanese residents in Taiwan, and is one of the churches assisted in establishment by General Chiang Wei-kuo during his tenure. The church is constructed with red bricks and washed pebbles, complemented by European-style pointed arch windows and stained glass, showcasing a solemn and elegant Western architectural style. It was registered as a historical building in Taichung City in 2017. In addition to inheriting its mission of faith, the church has long been dedicated to community service, offering tutoring classes, mother-child classes, literacy classes, and elder care courses, becoming an important support center for the Daya Zhongyi community. Currently led by Pastor Zheng Zhaowen, it continues to link faith with the community, promoting education, care, and cultural preservation efforts. The Qingshui Gang Holy Church is not only a religious place but also a cultural landmark that integrates history, architecture, and human warmth, witnessing local development while quietly guarding the souls and memories of generations.Opening hours: Every day from 7 AM to 9 PM, open for visits or guided tours by appointment.
