Houjia Bike Path

Houjia Bike Path is located between the Houli and Waipu districts of Taichung, running alongside expansive rice paddies. The route is flat and open, offering wide, unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside. Along the way, visitors can experience the changing scenery of the rice fields throughout the seasons—lush green waves of rice in spring and summer, and golden stalks swaying in the autumn breeze. The path is bordered mainly by farmland, irrigation canals, and scattered farmhouses, creating a quiet and simple atmosphere that reflects the authentic charm of rural Taiwan.

The bikeway itself is wide and well-paved, with very little vehicle traffic, making it suitable for filming long tracking shots, cycling scenes, or characters walking along the road. The landscape is defined by straight roads stretching into the distance and broad open fields. During sunrise and sunset, the soft natural light enhances the scenery. With its clean, natural environment and minimal background distractions, the location serves as an ideal setting for capturing Taiwan’s rural life and pastoral landscapes.
