The National Museum of Natural Science is Taiwan's first comprehensive science museum. Its six main exhibition areas include the Space Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Global Environment Hall, Human Cultures Hall, and Botanical Garden. Combining an extensive collection of natural specimens, professional curatorial presentations, and interactive facilities, the museum offers a wide range of scientific and natural knowledge. Throughout the museum, distinctive architectural designs and unique installations can be found both indoors and outdoors, with each exhibition space and outdoor landscape offering its own character. More than an educational destination for scientific exploration, the museum holds cherished memories for generations of Taichung residents and stands as one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.
The museum encompasses exhibition spaces, scientific facilities, natural ecosystems, and outdoor landscapes. In addition to its permanent exhibitions, the museum periodically introduces special exhibitions based on different themes and curatorial plans. As a result, exhibits, spatial arrangements, and visual designs are regularly updated, creating diverse atmospheres and exhibition settings. These features offer a wide range of filming possibilities, accommodating scenes involving scientific exploration, education and research, family activities, everyday life, and iconic urban landmarks.
