Da'an Port Mazu Cultural Park features a majestic statue of Mazu as its central landmark. Constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant granite, the monument stands approximately 18 stories tall, comprising a 30-meter-tall stone statue of Mazu and a 23.6-meter-high white dolphin base. Mazu wears a crown adorned with nine rows of hanging beads, stands above ocean waves, holds a ruyi scepter, and faces the sea, symbolizing her compassionate protection of coastal communities. The statue is a highly recognizable landmark along Taichung's coastline.
Wide white stone staircases extend across the front and both sides of the park, leading up to an observation platform where a mirrored art installation glitters in the sunlight. Both the staircases and platform offer views of the sea, with wind turbines, bridges, elevated roads, and passing vessels visible in the distance. The park features a landscaped garden path on one side, a red-brick pathway on the other, and an expansive lawn at the front, creating a variety of spatial layers.
Inside the park, permanent and special exhibitions showcase local history and culture, ecology, artistic creations, and photography. A multimedia screening room is also available, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and ecological diversity of the Da'an area.
Blending Mazu worship, coastal culture, art exhibitions, and recreational spaces, the park offers a diverse range of settings, including a religious landmark, outdoor staircases, an observation platform, and coastal scenery. It is suitable for filming scenes involving religious sites, art installations, panoramic sea views, outdoor leisure, and coastal tourism.
