The religious center of Nantun Mazu
Dedicated to Mazu, this is the oldest temple in Taichung, built in 1684. It has a centuries-old temple festival called the “Surname Play” that is full of local color. Centered around Wanhe Temple, Nantun Old Street has flourished with old stores and buildings along the street, especially Triangle Street, which is the most well-known.
