A jade market hidden among buildings
The Jade Market is located in the Cooperative Building next to Taichung Park. Every Saturday when the market opens, nearly 100 vendors surround the building on the sidewalk and in the atrium, selling jade jewelry, antiques, silver jewelry, and religious art products, forming a jade market gathering with the sound of discussions and bargaining. The Cooperative Building is a commercial complex with apartments and a theater designed by the architect Lin Lun-Hsia in the 1960s.
