With a diversity of ecosystems and forests, Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area has many forest trails to explore the year-round Heavenly Pond and the towering thousand-year-old sacred trees. Due to the high altitude, visitors can enjoy a close view of the ever-changing cloud sea and the brilliant sunrise and sunset. Autumn is the best time to enjoy the sea of clouds. In mid-November, the beautiful scenery of the season is reflected in the leaves of the Taiwan Red Maple and Oliver Maple that turn from green to red, showing the breathtaking beauty of nature.
