Time stands still at the old railroad mountain line

After the old mountain line of the Western Trunk line stopped running in 1998, the old Tai’an Station was designated as a city heritage site and was transformed into a railway cultural park. The Japanese style station, railroad tracks, and platform have all been preserved. The distinctive canopy pillars on the platforms are made of reclaimed railroad tracks and marked with the logo of the Ministry of Railways of the Government-General of Taiwan and the 1905 factory mark.
