Huludun Waterfront

A waterfront for romantic walks

Huludun Waterfront in Fengyuan was one of the oldest irrigation canals in Central Taiwan, and has a century-old history. It was once covered with reinforced concrete and used as a parking lot from 1978, but after a 1.2-kilometer cover-removal project, the 39-year-old waterway was dug out and renovated. It integrates landscape construction and water conservation, where a large area for planting was created. A water storage tank was also set up below the walkway, renovating and greening the old school gate and fence of the elementary school. Land artworks have also been installed on the two plazas, creating an extremely romantic atmosphere at night under the reflection of lights.
