Both a monument and a well-known temple
The Taichung Le Cheng Temple is a center of faith in Central Taiwan. It is dedicated to the Holy Heavenly Mother, commonly known as Hanxi Mazu. The temple was built in 1753.
In 1985, it was declared a Class III Historical Site by the Ministry of the Interior. It has not only become a national cultural treasure, but also a cultural education material for the Taichung area. In recent years, the deity Hanxi Yue Lao has been answering many prayer requests, so the temple has also become a popular spot for young people in Central Taiwan to visit.
