Not only a bookstore but also a space for lifestyle aesthetics
Tsutaya, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, originated in Roppongi, Tokyo, in 2003 and has a branch in Taichung. Unlike the usual cold and impersonal concrete buildings, the Taichung store uses wooden walls as the main element and greenery to make it look warm. The store is located on the second floor of the building, and the entrance staircase leading to the second floor is also a famous photo spot, attracting hipsters and locals to check out the bookstore. Over 992 square meters of large space not only provides a spacious environment, but also a cafe and books. Coupled with the light and shadow design, not only is it a bookstore but also a space for cultural and aesthetics lifestyle. The proximity to the National Taichung Theater and Charlotte Park together forms an attraction that is unparalleled in other cities.
