An art architecture that incorporates nature
The Taichung City Tun District Art Center is located at the intersection of Daxing Road and Chang’an East Road in Taiping District. It has an elegant environment full of shady trees, while the building is full of character as it is based on the concepts of “Tai Chi, Middle Way” and “Art, Nature, and Architecture”. The interplay between “circle” and “arc” forms a “musical and rhythmic” building that emphasizes simplicity, nature, ecology and harmony.
The center occupies nearly 5 hectares of land and has a total floor area of 22,149 square meters. The main body of the building features a 1,150-seat multifunctional auditorium, a 200-seat experimental theater, an aesthetics collection museum, an exhibition room, a conference room, and an administration center. The outdoor scenery includes an outdoor amphitheater, an ecological landscape green bridge, and two outdoor parking lots on the east and west sides of the building. The diversity of settings offers many options to film production crews.
