Extensive Area with Scenic Spots and Parks
Tiehching Mountain, located in the northeastern part of Dajia District in Taichung City, spans over 50 hectares. The mountain features a flat, truncated cone shape, which resembles an anvil, hence its name. During the Qing Dynasty, it was known as one of Taiwan's Twelve Scenic Views for its "Anvil Sunset."
Most of Tiehching Mountain is designated as a protective forest area. In recent years, various scenic spots have been developed, including Jianjing, the Chonglie Temple, the Military Cemetery, the Statue of Yanping Junwang, Zhongzheng Park, and Yongxin Amusement Park.
The area is ideal for filming scenes of sunset views, romantic walks, and nature outings. It can also serve as a setting for more secluded, eerie, or suspenseful scenes.
Previously used for filming: The TV drama **"Local Village Chief."**
