In 34 years after the war, the name of the school was changed to "Dongshi No.1 National School". In August 57, nine-year national education was implemented, and the name of the school was changed to "Dongshi National Primary School".
During the Japanese occupation, for the sake of school education, there were often principals' dormitories and staff dormitories next to the school. According to the official position at that time, the principals' dormitories were mostly single-story wooden buildings, while the staff dormitories were piled up as double buildings, as was the dormitory of Dongshi Public School (Dongshi Elementary School) during the Japanese occupation. According to the migration time of the school buildings at that time, the dormitory was built in the 10th year of Taisho during the Japanese occupation (in 1921), and the building was made of cypress, which was of historical significance to reflect the times.
And the original Japanese construction methods and materials are still preserved, which is of great value to the research of architectural technology during the Japanese occupation, especially the principal's dormitory is best preserved, the doors and windows are easy to open, and the layout and pattern of the house are also preserved.
