山間美景 潺潺溪流

據說蝙蝠洞是在清代同治年間（西元1862年），太平林家為了灌溉農田而開鑿的人工灌溉渠道，連貫三座山，將頭汴坑溪的水導引至土地公崁農田灌溉，原本頭汴坑溪流至蝙蝠洞，而原有灌溉渠道在時代的轉折下，逐漸消失在河道另一側，運用百蝠橋重新連接了兩端。
2020年底，台中市府打造延伸太平蝙蝠洞步道460公尺，銜接第一期步道，建設全長達880公尺的環狀生態路線，沿途新建的兩座麻繩編織而成的「仙氣繩橋」更是熱門拍照景點。
除了山間的優美景致外，沿途的仙氣繩橋、百蝠橋與蝙蝠洞都十分推薦作為拍攝場景。

Beautiful mountain scenery and gurgling streams

It is said that the Bat Cave was an artificial irrigation canal built by the Lin family of Taiping during the Qing Dynasty (1862) to irrigate farmland. The canal spanned three mountains, where the water from the Toubiankeng Creek was diverted to the fields of Tudigongkan. The original Toubiankeng Creek flowed to Bat Cave, while the original irrigation canal gradually disappeared on the other side of the river across the eras, and the two ends have been reconnected by using the Hundred Bat Bridge.
At the end of 2020, the Taichung City Government extended the Taiping Bat Cave Trail by 460 meters to connect with the first phase of the trail, in order to construct an 880-meter-long circular eco-route. The two newly built “Fairy Rope Bridges” made of hemp rope are popular photo spots.
In addition to the beautiful scenery of the mountains, the Fairy Rope Bridges, the Hundred Bat Bridge and the Bat Cave along the way are highly recommended film settings.
