臺中市眷村文物館原名「北屯新村」，後更名為「凌雲社區」，建於1960至1966年，居住校級以上的飛行員及航空技術局與研究院技術員，目前保存三棟具代表性的眷村紀念性建物。館舍內有文物館(2021年度特展愛美樂理髮廳)、方正谷眷村味餐廳、飛冰菓室、小梅花商行、北屯新村柑仔店、大方男士理髮，每月第一週末固定舉辦的搶救大兵市集。以芋頭蕃薯第五代成長背景，在營造懷舊復古氛圍下，感受「家的味道」。

適合劇組取景眷村時代背景故事、拍攝家庭劇、自營商店等，電視劇《粉紅色時光》曾在此取景拍攝。

Taichung Military Kindred Village Museum is located near Jinhua North Road and Beitun Road intersection. It was originally Beitun New Village which was one of the 134 military kindred villages in Taichung accommodating air force officers above the rank of major and their families. Veterans moved away one after another more than a decade ago. Rectification and renovation was conducted to repurpose the village and four iconic architectures remained. The construction of the museum was completed in mid November, 2014. The over 660 square-meter space is the first local establishment of a military kindred village cultural preservation.
