外埔水流東桐花步道 Waipu Shuiliu Tong Tung Blossom Trail

位於外埔區的水流東桐花步道，全長2.4km，舊稱水流東情人幽徑，於民國98年改名為桐花步道，當地居民於水圳兩旁種滿桐花，每年4~5月下起桐花雪，是台中外埔賞油桐花的私房景點。水流東以前是灌溉渠道，一般水往西流，但這條灌溉渠道一路由西向東墊高，故水往東流。步道沿著水圳而行，途經葡萄園、番茄園、稻田，站在觀景台上可欣賞阡陌稻田風光， 另外高鐵觀景台就位於外埔水流東桐花步道旁，是距離高鐵最近的觀景台，對照設置的時刻表可觀看疾駛而過的列車。

 

此場景幽靜、遠離塵囂，適合拍攝家庭、觀光、浪漫或鄉村類型的故事。

Located in Waipu District, the 2.4km-long Liuliu ong Tung Blossom Trail, formerly known as Liuliu East Lover's Trail, was renamed the Tung Blossom Trail in 1998. The eastern part of the canal used to be an irrigation channel, so water usually flows westward, but this irrigation channel is pushed up from west to east, so water flows eastward. The trail runs along the canal, passing through vineyards, tomato farms, and rice paddies, and you can enjoy the scenery of the rice paddies from the observation deck.

 The scenery is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, suitable for family, sightseeing, romance or countryside type stories.
