中央書局創立於1927年，曾是全臺最大的漢語書局，是當時的文化藝術重鎮，也是許多老台中人的回憶，在熄燈多年後於2020年重新開幕，以新舊融合的全新面貌綻放光芒。

三層樓高的半圓弧形建築，米白色的外觀掛著中央書局的金色字樣，
內部空間結合閱讀、展覽和餐飲，打造具現代感的複合式風格。
不論是復古或現代場景的拍攝都非常適合。

It was founded in 1927 and used to be the biggest bookstore for Chinese language in Taiwan. It was the cultural and art center at that moment and the memory of many old people in Taichung. After out of business for many years, it reopened in 2000. 
The semi-circular arch building of three floors with the appearance in creamy white color hangs a signboard of “Central Bookstore” in golden imprinting in the middle. It is hard to imagine it used to be an old bookstore. The design of the Central Bookstore is thoughtfully reserved the best area with greatest daylighting as the seating area. It also combines café shop with crafts shop as well as a parent-child center and children’s book area. It is suitable to enjoy a cozy afternoon here with a cup of coffee and a book.
